Well, here I am again...
And our subject for today is ... Stargate Atlantis.
I know I'm going to be treading in some dangerous water and I 'll probably get into trouble with various shippers but "I just have to ask it...
Is anyone else kind of dissappointed that they seem to have forgotten all about the Ronon/Keller thing they started with last season? It's not that I'm some big shipper or anything but just the idea of the the gruff and serious Ronon and the smily and sunny keller seemed to have a lot of protential and I was really looking forward to seeing how they would handle it.
But maybe it was just me...

Saving grace - some thoughts
Well, since I've just now discovered this show and having watched all of the first season in sequence, and after reading some of what the good people on the internet had to say about the show - I have some thoughts to share with you all...
First off, let me just say that I really liked the show - It's refreshing to see a sexual female character who isn't constantly ashamed of enjoying sex and having sex and isn't automatically labled a whore by the people around her just because she has multiple sexual partners. The people around Grace (mostly her co-workers) seem to except her for who she is and even though the show went the very stereotypical way of explaining her behaviour with the mandatory "Every sexually liberated woman must have been sexually abused as a child" storyline - They did it well and made sure the viewer understands that while this was one of the reasons for her promiscuity it wasn't the only one. It was made very clear that the character of Grace is, among many other things, just a woman who enjoys sex and that it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. That is something you don't see very often and I liked it.
Furthermore, as a jewish born and self proclaimed atheist, who doesn't usually relate that much to programs with religious tones I find the "faith" issue is dealt with very nicely on this show. It really is a show about god for the non-believers among us - the whole subject of god and belief is (on the most part) dealt with with a lot of humor and an openess that is usually lacking in other shows. Honestly, if more shows about god and faith were like this, I might have actually watched.
Wow this post is getting kind of long - the truth is I can talk about stuff like that all day long if you let me... so I'll leave it at that for now...

This blog of mine will be dedicated to my main obsession which is television. I watch a lot of television shows and usually I have a lot to say about them - especially when I'm writing fanfiction cause that's when the ideas just come to my mind and my thought process is on overdrive.
